- A: Law. Sports agents are most often lawyers. You need to know the tiniest details about contract law, and be an excellent sales and marketing person.Undergrad in business / econ, perhaps a minor in marketing, and then law school. Research what law schools are best for contract law. An MBA/JD dual degree would be even better, and alot of the top schools in both have dual programs.
